Five things every developer should know about building mission-critical systems
Mission-critical systems fail in surprising ways: networks have hick-ups, retries can double-book, and observability might lie.
In this session I will talk about real-world experiences learned from building software inside a utilities and banking landscapes.
You’ll see the patterns that matter, like multi-region design, idempotency and outbox/inbox, retry & circuit breaker, event-driven decoupling, and health monitoring. As a bonus, I will show tooling that helps you ship faster (Aspire, Dapr, CodeSpaces and more). I will make sure you will leave the room with knowledge you can apply next Monday.
